Become a Part of the Disaster Response CARE TEAM

A Disaster has hit an area in North Georgia, maybe it was a tornado or flood.

The ERT (Early Response Teams) are being deployed to tarp roofs and clear the sites. But what about the families who have had their world turned upside down. Who reaches out to them?

The North Georgia Annual Conference CARE TEAM, that is who.

When the CARE TEAM is invited in, they deploy UMCOR-trained persons to comfort, guide, and share helpful information.

Would you like to be a part of the CARE TEAM?  If so, Alpharetta First UMC will be hosting an UMCOR training event for CARE TEAM training on Saturday, August 16th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Refreshments and lunch will be provided.  The only cost will be that for the box lunch.  Before you are eligible for deployment and receiving your badge, you must complete the ERT training as well.
