Job Networking at Roswell UMC To Offer Workshop for Young Adults Breaking into the Job Market

Roswell UMC Job Networking will offer a 7 p.m. workshop on Monday, Aug. 24, especially for unemployed young adults experiencing the difficulty of finding the right employment.

Parents, friends, and relatives are encouraged to invite or join us with their job seeker to experience What Your College Did Not Teach about How to Get a Job: Real Facts about Getting a Job for Young Adults Age 20 to 35. The workshop will be taught by Al Smith, job coach and author of HIRED! Paths to Employment in the Social Media Era.
Guest dinner speaker Rev. Eric Lee will tell his own transition story from the business world to pastor at a United Methodist church. The community is invited to dinner at no cost but a $3 donation is accepted. Dinner will be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Roswell. Rotarians will be on-site, ready to share their experiences. In addition, Robbie Kashey, a recent UGA graduate with Masters in Social Work who grew up as a member of Roswell UMC, will share his job search experience ending with employment at Grady Hospital.
Job Networking begins at 12:30 p.m. with a dozen afternoon workshops, dinner at 5:30 p.m., and additional workshops at 7 p.m., including the workinship for young adults. Find more information and the agenda at
