Two mission agencies of the United Methodist Church are working with the international global health community to coordinate an integrated approach in response to the Ebola crisis in West Africa.

To date, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) and the Global Health arm of the General Board of Global Ministries unit have worked together to ensure that $400,000 of educational programs, protective equipment, and other Ebola-related supplies have been provided to the health boards in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Cote d’Ivoire.

If your church would like to collect an offering to go toward this effort, it can be directed to UMCOR via the North Georgia Conference by using Fund Number 8430 (UMCOR International Disaster Response). The church would send one check to the Conference Treasurer marked with this number and with "Ebola Response" in the memo line.
