The North Georgia Conference recently ran ads in various newspapers that span the conference boarders promoting the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Haiti advance number. “It is important for secular outlets to know that the United Methodist Church is present and hard at work in Haiti,” stated Jamie Jenkins, executive assistant to Bishop Watson. “It is also important that people realize that 100% of every dollar that is given to UMCOR goes directly to places of need.
