North Georgia women attend 2010 UMW Assembly

The North Georgia Conference was well represented last week with 120 women attending the 2010 United Methodist Women's annual Assembly in St Louis, Missouri.   

Over 6,500 women came from across the United States and around the world to engage in activities that revolved around the 2010 Assembly theme, “Faith, Hope and Love in Action.”

Women from the North Georgia Conference stated the week’s experience empowered them to do "extra ordinary work." 

Members of the North Georgia United Methodist Women continue their fundamental ministries of providing prayer shawls and baby blankets to families in need, providing numerous volunteer hours for communities in need, discovering new mission opportunities, and marching for immigration rights.
