6/3/2011
Sacred Tapestry in East Cobb and United Methodist Church at The Well in Cartersville are sending youth delegates to the 2011 Annual Conference Session in Athens.
Andrew Long, son of the Rev. Teresa Angle-Young, is 15 years old and a rising junior at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta where he is a part of the Global Citizenship Program and has an interest in justice issues, science and medicine and international studies. Andrew is excited to participate in the Annual Conference as a Youth Delegate to better understand the structure of the United Methodist Church at the conference level.
Lathem Postell, son of the Rev. Andy and Claire Postell, is 15 years old and a rising junior at Cartersville High School. He plays baseball for the Cartersville Canes and currently has a 4.0 GPA. After serving on several international mission teams, Lathem is exploring the idea of full-time ministry and wants to become more involved in the North Georgia Annual Conference.
If you see these two young men at Annual Conference, congratulate them for taking the time to learn more about their United Methodist roots.
