Effective Teams - Equipping Committees and Staffs for Performance
Idea: Each year we ask our committees to work as teams - making decisions, planning events, leading the church. But how much time do we spend equipping those individuals to perform as a team? Russell offers simple, concrete ideas and practices to make your boards and committees perform better and have fun doing their work.

Keeping the Wesleyan Voice Alive in the Classroom!
Idea: I am convinced that one of the greatest gifts the UMC has to offer the world today is our understanding of God’s grace. Although, let’s face it, many of the studies that we currently offer in our churches come from other denominations and theological understandings. These are often good studies that meet the developmental needs of our congregation. Yet, where is the Wesleyan voice and how do we keep that voice alive in these classrooms? Do volunteer educators know what it means to think as Methodists? In this workshop you will be offered ways to equip volunteer educators with a Wesleyan understanding so that even when “non-Methodist” curricula are used, a theology of grace is present in the conversation.
