Christopher Carlton to Serve as Interim Director of Emory Clergy Care

Rev. Christopher Carlton, M. Div., M.S., APC, NCC will serve as the Interim Director of Emory Clergy Care effective January 1, 2012.  He remains in his current appointment as Johns Creek Associate while also devoting time to Emory Clergy Care.  Christopher is well qualified to lead Emory Clergy Care through the transition of Dr. Fred Smoot’s retirement and search for a permanent director.
 
Christopher is well respected in our Annual Conference, has most recently served the Johns Creek United Methodist Church as Associate Pastor in charge of Nurture Ministries. He is a graduate of Candler, ordained elder, and a licensed Counselor.  More importantly Christopher is aware of the personal and professional struggles experienced by clergy and clergy families.
 
Emory Clergy Care remains as a fully functioning resource to the ministers of the North Georgia Conference. Dr. Carol Kant continues to provide our nationally recognized psychological assessment program, Cynthia Daniel is available for guidance regarding appointments with Christopher, Styles Bradley questions and the other programs and resources of ECC.
