Funding to East Africa Annual Conference Suspended

The North Georgia Conference is following the lead of General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM) and has ceased all funding to the East Africa Annual Conference.
 

GBGM issued a statement this month recommending the suspension of funding due to, "lack of adequate documentation, lack of financial procedures, and an inability to verify the use of funds as designated."

 

"We will shift the focus of our mission work in Uganda to education, training, and teaching support and suspend all financial support until this is resolved," said Mike Selleck, Director of Connectional Ministries. "This is the very reason we use GBGM."
