The Mississippi Conference has sent a request for mission teams for for roofing, drywall and other home repair along the Mississippi Coast. When Hurricane Isaac hit the area in late August, tising tides, river flooding and the release of water from a resevoir in Mobile left hundreds of homes flooded.
Affordable housing is available for volunteers through Camp Love ($15 per day), as well as the following churches: Picayune FUMC, St. Paul UMC Ocean Springs, Camp Victor, Ocean Springs, Safe Harbor, Moss Point, Heritage UMC, d'Iberville.
Teams need to be self sufficient and ready to contribute toward material costs.
