Vital Congregations: Visited by Grace
11/15/2012

From Roger Vest
Chatsworth UMC
A member of our congregation posted on Facebook Saturday night she was sad that she had to work on Sunday again and she would miss church (she works at a local drugstore).
Sunday morning we mentioned this fact during worship and encouraged the people in our congregation that knew her to "stop by" this drugstore Sunday afternoon to say hello and that she was missed. Below are her actual posts. One of the neatest things about this is that of the people who liked her Sunday night post, none of them were members of our church.
Saturday night: LOOOOOOOONG day tomorrow. Won't be able to get to church AGAIN. Anyone having a great sermon share the scripture and thoughts with me! miss seeing my church family.
Sunday night: I LOVE MY CHURCH FAMILY!!! I haven't been able to get to church in a month of Sundays, it seems. I actually cried going to work this morning. Then a miracle of love happened. When church let out Walgreens was flooded by Chatsworth First UMC members seeking me out just to tell me they miss me and love me. My spirit has been lifted to the mountain top! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love you all!!!
