Halloween Reading at Dunwoody UMC- November 1-2 at 7pm

Long before Frankenstein or Friday the 13th, the medium of radio provided its audiences with a healthy share of terror and screams.  The great granddaddy of those radio broadcasts was a weekly program known as "The Witch's Tale".  This Halloween, relive the goose bumps, thrills and chills of the Golden Age of Radio as Drama at DUMC reads the radio classic, "From Dawn To Sunset" and other scary writings.  November 1-2, 7pm, at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, 1548 Mt. Vernon Road, Dunwoody.  Donations to benefit Literacy Volunteers of Atlanta.

Surviving The Holidays - November 3 at Peachtree City UMC
Grief Share & Divorce Care offer Simultaneous Seminars.  In past years, the approaching holiday season may have been a time of great anticipation and excitement…but this year, the prospect of facing the holidays without your loved one may cause anxiety and dread.  You are not alone!  Surviving the Holidays seminars are warm, encouraging and helpful events.  Featuring video instruction and group discussion, it helps you deal with the intense pain of grief, separation and/or divorce during the holiday season.  You will also receive a personal Holiday Survival Guide. It is important for everyone to have a “safe” place to go where people understand what you are feeling.  One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself (and your family) this Christmas is to take care of your physical, emotional and spiritual needs.  This can be a turning point for you when you join others in a support group during the holidays.  If you have any questions, please contact the respective leaders below.  Also, to adequately prepare, an RSVP is greatly appreciated – but not required!  For details please contact the church office at 770.487.6499. Information may also be found on the church website.www.ptcumc.org
