Atlanta Emory District held an open house and consecration service for its new district parsonage on Nov. 3. Clergy and laity toured and prayed over the home.
The parsonage is in the Chadwick Lake community of Lawrenceville and has easy access to I-85 and 316.
"We are blessed to be the first family to be living here," said District Superintendent Dana Everhart. "It is a haven away from the hectic world."
He went on to share that the District Trustees and Finance Teams are to be commended for the hard work and hours of service to make this happen. The district is also grateful to the United Methodist Connectional Credit Union for their part in making the new parsonage a reality.
Those assisting in the Consecration service included Dale Smith, Rev. Donn Ann Weber, Barbara Garrison, Rev. Tommy Green, Johnny Phelps, and Katie Everhart.
