Atlanta-Roswell District Churches Show Extravagant Generosity in Imagine No Malaria Effort

On January 11, Dunwoody UMC in the Atlanta-Roswell District presented Bishop Mike Watson with a check for $67,894.75 for Imagine No Malaria. And they are just one of the AROS churches that have made great strides in supporting Imagine No Malaria. (Pictured above are senior pastor Rev. Dan Brown, Bishop Watson, co-lay leader Denise Chastain, and AROS District Superintendent Dr. Doug Thrasher.)

Mt. Carmel UMC recently presented Dr. Jamie Jenkins, North Georgia's Imagine No Malaria Field Coordinator, with  $3,000 of proceeds from a Silent Auction sponsored by the Transformers Sunday School Class.

The youth of Kingswood UMC sponsored a spaghetti dinner that raised $700.

Johns Creek UMC's United Methodist Women budgeted $3000 from their children's consignment sale in September and a cookie sale during Advent. The children's Sunday School classes also gave their offering during Advent.

Sandy Springs UMC gave $5,000, a tithe of a gift they received.
