Glisson announced last week that the camp has received its largest single gift ever: one million dollars! This gift has been given specifically to go toward Phase One projects of Glisson's Master Plan that were not included in the Serving Generations campaign - and in the hope that the building would start right away! The donor would like as many of these projects as possible to be completed before Summer 2015 so that this year's campers can benefit. Remaining Phase One projects include but are not limited to:
Of those four major projects, work is already underway prepping sites for the new waterfront and new cabins. The new recreation field and renovation of the "Old" Dining Hall into program space are slated for completion next fall. That's the difference between Summer 2014 and Summer 2015 thanks to the generosity of the extended Glisson family during our Serving Generations campaign combined with an unexpected major gift from a generous friend of Glisson. This has been and continues to be an amazing time in Glisson's history - one that Glisson believes is securing life-changing ministry for generations to come!
