Imagine That! Conference at St. Timothy School on Saturday, January 25th
UMC Preschool Directors, registration is still open for the “Imagine That!” Conference at St. Timothy School which will take place on Saturday, January 25th.  Please submit registration forms and payment as soon as possible!  For faster processing, you may fax your registration forms and mail your payments. Third Age Workshop for Adults Ages 50-70 on February 8th at Oak Grove UMC in Decatur
This 4.5 hour workshop offers a “mini-vacation” from one’s daily routine to begin an inner exploration of the important questions that surface as one approaches 50 and the years beyond. During this inspiring, informative, and interactive workshop, led by Beth Schumaker, we will work together to: identify and explore your aspirations for midlife renewal and redirection, lay the foundation of your vision for the future, equip you with information and tools to support your next step, and reenergize and inspire you. Atlanta Harp Center Ensemble to Play Concert at Dunwoody UMC February 9th
Harp is Everywhere, the Atlanta Harp Center Ensemble presents the art music of the Renaissance to modern times, using the folk harp to the large concert grands seen in orchestras, the AHC Ensemble will play Vivaldi, Franck and some surprises.  February 9, 4pm, in the Sanctuary of Dunwoody United Methodist Church, 1548 Mt. Vernon Road, 770-394-0675.   Suggested donation, $10.

Big Band and Dance For United Methodist Children’s Home at Lawrenceville Road UMC on February 15th
Through its “Music for Missions” series, created to engage the community through music and arts and to raise funds for charities and missions, the United Methodist Men at Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church in Tucker will sponsor a ballroom dance on Saturday, February 15, from 7:30 to 9:30. Music will be provided by the incomparable “The Modernaires” swing band. The ballroom dance will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Admission is by donation of minimum $25.00 per couple, or, $13.00 for singles. There will be plenty of dance partners and some professional dancers will be available to demonstrate steps and styles. The donations are paid at the door but reservations should be made by calling the church at any time at 770-939-3717. If there is no answer at non-office hours, leave the guest names and a contact number on the answering service. One may also make reservations at Proceeds from this event will go to the Methodist Childrens Home in Decatur.
Brad Sherrill to present "Exodus" at Birmingham UMC in Alpharetta on Sunday, February 23, at 6:30PM
It took nearly five months for Atlanta-based actor Brad Sherrill to memorize all 20,000 words of The Gospel of John. Since 2001 Sherrill has performed John’s gospel over 600 times off –Broadway and in professional theaters and churches throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Ireland. On Sunday, February 23 at 6:30PM, Sherrill will present his new adaptation and live performance of Exodus (based on the Old Testament story of Moses and Israel’s epic journey) at Birmingham UMC located at 15770 Birmingham Hwy. in Alpharetta. Exodus, which includes an original 2013 visual presentation from Egypt, Sinai, Jordan and Israel was created by his collaborator and multimedia designer Mark Hickman. Exodus is Sherrill’s fourth live theatrical offering based on biblical texts. Admission is free but we ask that groups of 10 or more please RSVP by calling 678-942-1600. A Love Offering received.
