A Request from The Georgia House Rabbit Society
The Georgia House Rabbit Society (GHRS) would like to team up with churches to spread the word to families to celebrate Easter with worship, fellowship, and chocolate bunnies or stuffed animals instead of purchasing live rabbits. Each year, thousands of real bunnies are abandoned or neglected after the holiday season ends. Help care for God's creation by not purchasing a live rabbit this Easter. Holy Week Demonstration at Oak Grove UMC of Decatur on March 25th
Oak Grove is offering a demonstration of a powerful Holy Week worship service that you can use *this year* in your church for Holy Week. The demonstration will be March 25, 2014, at 7 p.m. at Oak Grove. The purpose is for you and your leaders to come, receive ideas and inspiration for a powerful Holy Week service appropriate for either Maundy Thursday or Good Friday. Using over 50 volunteers in the service, Oak Grove will present the worship service in its entirety, then provide an opportunity for discussion. So that we can make adequate preparations, we would appreciate you letting us know if you are coming and if so how many folks will be attending (Kbrockman@ogumc.org or call 404-636-7558). Do not worry if you need to add or remove participants.
This is a new bi-monthly news feature created to substitute The North Georgia Notebook section in The Advocate. Please contact us if you would like for us to mention your congregation’s upcoming event or news. Communications@ngumc.org
