Mark Batterson Among Speakers at LCI 2014

3/6/2014

“I felt underqualified and overwhelmed, but that is when God has you right where God wants you.” – Mark Batterson, LCI2014 Keynote Speaker.

Mark Batterson began National Community Church with a congregation of ten people. After a seemingly insignificant 4.7 mile walk around The Capitol, Batterson’s perspective on prayer and ministry were dramatically altered. Years later National has seven locations in the Washington D.C area and is considered one of the most innovative churches in the country.

In the book, The Circle Marker, Mark Batterson writes, “Drawing prayer circles around our dreams isn’t just a mechanism whereby we accomplish great things for God. It’s a mechanism whereby God accomplishes great things in us.”

At LCI2014, Batterson will share his passion for Circle Making prayer and how it has shaped his life.

“God honors bold prayers because bold prayers honor God," he said.

Mark Batterson is part of LCI2014’s compelling keynote speaker line-up which includes Jorge Avecedo, Dr. Timothy C. Tennent, Chip Ingram, and Rev. Sharma Lewis.

LCI 2014 Continuum - Engaging All Generations conference is being hosted by Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, in Johns Creek, April 28-30, 2014.

LCI is a partnership of the Large Church Initiative Committee and the General Board of Discipleship. The conference takes place each year to provide an arena for networking, sharing ideas, giving and receiving encouragement, and support for ministry.
