The North Georgia Conference has entered into an agreement with Steeplecom, an organization that has been suggested and vetted by the General Council of Finance and Administration of The United Methodist Church.
Steeplecom has been helping United Methodist churches use properties as cell sites since 2005 and has generated millions of dollars in revenue for local churches. Because of ths focus, they are familiar with the issues before, during, and after an agreement is reached between a church and a wireless company.
In addition to being subject matter experts when it comes to the wireless world, Steeplecom works within the guidelines of the Book of Discipline and all things United Methodist concerning leasing property to a wireless carrier.
One of the most valuable assets they will bring is providing a knowledge base for churches to make wise decisions concerning complex transactions with wireless carriers. They recognize and accommodate the needs of the local church, the community, and the wireless industry. Their system provides the carriers with what they need, but in a manner that is consistent with the church's mission.
Steeplecom will contact North Georgia Conference churches directly with more information, but interested churches can also initiate the conversation.
