United Methodists Deliver on Diaper Drive Challenge

Recognizing that the cost of diapers is a hardship on struggling families in communities across our Conference, Bishop Robin Dease reached out to North Georgia United Methodists and encouraged them to host a diaper drive in the weeks and months ahead. 

North Georgia United Methodists from one side of our Annual Conference to the other, have delivered!

Mt. Zion UMC in Marietta donated diapers and wipes to a foster care ministry. Aldersgate UMC Augusta collected diapers and wipes local domestic violence shelter as part of the church's Christmas in July. Jackson UMC made a generous donation to its County Pregnancy Center for diapers.

Moreland UMC donated diapers to its county's foster care support group. Andrews Chapel UMC Newnan donated diapers to a local assistance center and women's shelter. Chapelwood UMC Athens donated diapers to the Northeast Georgia Food Bank. Mount Pleasant UMC donated diapers to the Banks County Department of Family and Children Services.

Marietta Street UMC in Cedartown donated diapers to the local Family and Children Services. Bethel UMC Hall County helped stock the shelves of the Diaper Bank of North Georgia. Trinity UMC Cartersville collected diapers for a domestic violence center in their area.

Decatur First UMC, Atlanta First UMC, Trinity UMC Austell, and Gainesville First UMC made generous donations of diapers to Wellroot.

Northside UMC Atlanta, Mt. Olive UMC Newnan, Bogart UMC, Eastside UMC in Atlanta, St. John UMC Augusta, Dunwoody UMC and others have had or are in the midst of diaper drives to offer care and relief to families in need across our Annual Conference!
