Fresh Expressions: Pioneer Learning Opportunity in North Georgia

If you are interested in starting a Fresh Expression of Church or are already involved in the process, you don't have to go alone. Instead, take advantage of 6 months of coaching and conversation.

The North Georgia Conference Congregational Development Office has partnered with Fresh Expressions US to bring Pioneer Learning Communities to North Georgia.

Pioneer Learning Communities are designed to:

  • assist teams who want to launch a fresh expression of church;
  • help pastors and lay-leaders create Fresh Expressions strategies for their communities and neighborhoods; and
  • surround pioneers with a network of fellow sojourners and practitioners of missional ministry.
If you are interested in starting a Fresh Expression of church or are already involved in the process, you're invited to join in this partnership as we explore how to create new places for new people.

The Pioneer Learning Community begins in February 2018 with a two-day retreat on February 2-3 at the Calvin Center in Hampton and ends in August with a closing retreat. Coaching and conversation will be provided between the retreats.

"I'm happy to discuss this with anyone interested and answer questions," said Rev. Dr. Phil Schroder of Congregational Development. "I look forward to joining with North Georgia Conference churches creating new places for new people."
