Fund Number Set for Hurricane Florence Response

As Hurricane Florence makes landfall in the Carolinas, the North Georgia Conference stands ready to help. 

The Conference has set Fund Number 9431 for Hurricane Florence Relief. Any North Georgia United Methodist can give directly to their church, designating their gift for Fund #9431 or Hurricane Florence Relief. Churches should send gifts to the North Georgia Conference, indicating the above fund number.

If your church or church property is damaged, make two phone calls:

1. Church Trustees Chair (who should contact your insurance company)
2. District Superintendent (who will contact Rev. Scott Parrish, Disaster Response Coordinator)

There may also be community ministry opportunities in disaster response. The North Georgia Conference has approximately 400 trained Early Response Team members, tools, and trailers, and can come alongside a church or district if needed. ERTs are on standby for the call if needed in NGA, SGA, SC, NC, or WNC. Contact Rev. Scott Parrish to coordinate at scott.parrish@ngumc.net.
