The North Georgia Conference Center for Congregational Excellence exists to support, resource, and equip local church leaders in making disciples of Jesus Christ and witnessing to transformation, beginning in your local community. With over 800 expressions of church currently active in our Conference, this team must adapt staff, resources, and strategies to meet the changing needs of church leaders and communities alike.

We have been introducing you to the 2021-2022 Center for Congregational Excellence staff team and consultants in recent weeks. Today meet Rev. Juan Quintanilla, Consultant for Hispanic Ministry. 

Q: Hi, Juan! Can you give us a one-sentence explanation of what your job title means?
I offer advice and expertise to churches concerning the Latino population.

a pastor, DS, or layperson who is looking to know more about Latino Church or Culture.

Q: In what ministry settings have you previously served? Currently serving?
I have served as Conference Associate Director of Church Developmen for Hispanic Ministry (8 years), Conference Consultant for Latino Ministries (4 years), and Associate Pastor at Norcross First UMC (4 years).

Q: What are you most looking forward to about this year in ministry through the Center for Congregational Excellence?
To work together as team and help to resource churches.

Q: Do you have a favorite scripture passage?
Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.  

Q: What's your favorite thing about the UMC?
The connection.
