Peace with Justice Sunday is May 27

"Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of injustice, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?" (Isaiah 58:6)

The Peace with Justice special offering makes possible our ongoing ministries of peace and reconciliation, throughout our United Methodist connection and right here in North Georgia. Fifty percent of the funds collected support the peace with justice programs of the General Board of Church and Society, while fifty percent remain in our conference and are offered to North Georgia Conference local churches to use for their own justice projects. This year alone, the Peace with Justice offering has allowed grants to support education for children living in poverty, peace efforts on the Korean peninsula, resources for refugees and immigrants, and programs promoting racial reconciliation right here in Georgia.

Peace with Justice Sunday is observed each year on the Sunday after Pentecost, but churches may take the offering any Sunday.

We have prepared a special toolkit with everything you need to lead your congregation to promote peace and justice. You'll find infographics, e-books, a resource guide, social media tools and so much more to encourage generosity on Peace with Justice Sunday.
