Save the Date for Children's Home Flea Market
Your United Methodist Children’s Home is hosting its annual 2017 summer flea market on Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.on both days. This is a very special flea market as it marks the last flea market hosted at The Children’s Home current Decatur campus before relocating to a new location this fall.
Please invite your congregation to the flea market and shop from thousands of items including clothing, jewelry, shoes, books, glassware, flatware, china, furniture, toys, and appliances. Shoppers will also enjoy plant and bake sales at the flea market.
All proceeds from the flea market help support UMCH programs - Foster Care, Family Housing, Independent Living and Transitional Living across North Georgia.
Most importantly, volunteers are also needed to support the flea market. Volunteer opportunities are currently available on both Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15,
from 8:30 to 12:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Volunteers assist by performing tasks such as sales, cashiering, making and serving lunches in our Sandwich Shop, or directing parking. Lunch is provided free of charge for our volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Alyson Ackerman at email@example.com
The Children’s Home is especially grateful for the volunteers from its Auxiliary, many who are a part of The North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church. For decades, volunteers from the Auxiliary have lovingly and kind heartedly managed the flea market and supported The Children’s Home mission of restoring children and family from trauma through Jesus Christ.
