We have all faced a difficult year since March of 2020. Clergy in particular have endured a heavy emotional load in their work, with little downtime, and dramatic changes in expectations.
That's why the North Georgia Conference encourages clergy to take advantage of the professional support available through our connection.
Through Wespath, the North Georgia Conference offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as part of our health plan. The EAP provides confidential counseling and support at no additional cost to help manage issues in clergy's personal or professional life that may impact work, family, and ministry.
United Healthcare covers 8 EAP counseling sessions per concern. These sessions are covered 100% by insurance, but sessions must be conducted by an approved EAP provider.
Currently, only 10.25% of eligible participants in our Conference take advantage of this resource.
You can access EAP information directly from your Virgin Pulse app on your phone. Simply click "Benefits" at the bottom of the app and scroll to find "Optum Employee Assistance Program (EAP)."
