Carolyn and Joan are two Wesley Woods residents who directly benefit from this special offering.
By taking the Wesley Woods Mother’s Day Offering this year, these beloved seniors can stay in their Wesley Woods homes, no matter what challenges they may face.
As Mother's Day approaches, we across the North Georgia Conference remember the special women who have loved and cared for us.
Many of the older adults living at Wesley Woods are women who sacrificed in order for their loved ones to have the brightest futures possible. However, some may now have the gift of a long life but have outlived their finances. Others are overwhelmed by medical bills or need higher levels of care to keep their quality of life and just need caring people like you to help bridge the financial gap.
As Bishop Sue wrote in a letter to North Georgia clergy last week, "The need is great when you consider that 75% of the residents need some financial assistance to remain in their Wesley Woods home and 40% live below the poverty line."
