Annual Conference 2023

Annual Conference is that time each year where every church charge is represented in voice and vote within our Connective ministry structure. Most denominations cannot say this, and I believe it to be one of our greatest strengths. It is a beautiful thing to experience the work of the people as our brothers and sisters gather, and it is also great joy to see and hear some of the exceptional ministry highlights for the year!
 
I invite all of you to pray for your pastors, delegates, and for our Annual Conference leadership as we gather to do the business of the Conference. Our business is actually holy work, manifested profoundly in worship, in Licensing, Ordination and Commissioning of clergy, as well as electing our leaders at the Conference level. What a joy it is to know that God is with us, and will be with us in our time together in Athens!

• Pre-Conference Briefing for all delegates - Sunday, May 7, 3:00-4:30pm. Delegates need to pre-register in order to receive the Zoom link.
• In preparation for Annual Conference, churches should make sure that their elected delegate has been entered in the Conference Database (through the Lay Leadership Report under Charge Conference in Data Services.) Any changes need to be made prior to May 15. 
• UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) will be the recipient of this year's Annual Conference Special Offering.  In addition, an offering for the Ministerial Education Fund of the North GA Conference will be received at the Service of Ordination.
• Delegate Handbooks will be available for download in the coming days on the website.
• Online Registration for ALL delegates opens May 8.
